We are raising $180,000 to keep the Gaza Soup Kitchen running during the High Holy Days 5787.

We understand tzedakah as a practice of solidarity paving the way towards collective safety and freedom for all people. Through acts of tzedakah we bring more justice into the world, bind ourselves to others, and bring us closer to a world redeemed.

The starvation crisis in Gaza continues. Since the "ceasefire" was announced, it remains difficult for sufficient aid to reach those suffering from malnutrition. Families journey long distances to find water and food and are unable to secure basic necessities. Our support for the Gaza Soup Kitchen is helping people in Gaza through this unimaginable ever-continuing crisis.

The cost of the Gaza Soup Kitchen’s operations is $15,000 per day to run seven kitchens throughout Gaza. At its peak, Gaza Soup Kitchen served around 3,000 people per day. However, this number changes based on their access to supplies to distribute. This Tzedakah Campaign will allow the Gaza Soup Kitchen to continue their operations throughout the aseret yimei teshuvah, the ten days of repentance from Rosh HaShannah to Yom Kippur.

Thank you for giving an amount that is meaningful and significant to you, helping to provide nourishing meals, essential supplies, water, and dignity to families in Gaza who are facing hunger, displacement, and despair.

May your generosity be a source of blessing for you and your loved ones and may you be inscribed in the Book of Life for a year of peace, wholeness, and compassion.
